Welcome the Sliding Scale
At Recess we offer tickets on a sliding scale. So here's the deal, the price of putting on the event comes to approximately $175 per person. You can pay anything from $145 and up without applying for a scholarship (apply below if you need one of those), but please recognize that these events are expensive to run. Our price recommendations are Day Pass ($75/day), Low Income ($145), Low-Mid Income ($175), Mid Income ($195), Upper Income ($245), and Benevolent Gentry Ticket ($295). Please pay at the upper end of what you can afford to help make this event affordable and accessible for everyone in the community.
Two Ways to Pay: But One to Feel Really Good About
You can register and pay either with Picatic or DWOLLA. Paying with DWOLLA means we don't pay credit card fees because it transfers money straight out of your bank account and that is a savings we pass straight to you. We recommend the DWOLLA option--it saves you $10 and raises a much needed middle finger to the capitalist credit card overlords. You don't even need an account with DWOLLA. All you need is your bank account number and your routing code (for ACH transactions).
If you do want to open a DWOLLA account (which you totally should), you can give both yourself and Blues Recess a $10 DWOLLA credit if you open a DWOLLA account through this link: Blues Recess DWOLLA New Account Referral.

What is the Food Co-Op?
As always, collective meals and snacks will be available all day every day. Everyone who wants to eat with us can buy shares, and our kitchen team will pool all the cooperative food funds and volunteer labor, and use it to provide totally awesome meals made with the most fresh, local and organic food possible. Vegan and gluten-free options will be available at every meal.
One share ($10/day) entitles you to one day with 3 meals. You may buy any combination of regular (vegetarian) or meat shares you like. The total number of shares you purchase should be the same as the total number of days you plan to attend (and eat at) the event.
Meat will be available at this event. Because meat is extremely resource intensive not just to produce, but to buy, refrigerate off grid, and prepare safely, meat shares are more expensive. One meat share ($17/day) will entitle you to one day of meals, including two 3 - 4 oz. servings of meat. If you think you want twice that amount, feel free to purchase multiple shares for each day. You can, of course, purchase any combination of veggie and meat shares to equal your total days eating with us.

Scholarships and Volunteering
Our events are all about access. We believe in communities filled with people who support each other. There aren't many reasons to skip this event and we are committed to make sure that no one stays home on account of financial difficulty. If you feel you cannot afford even the lower level income ticket for this years Massive, we encourage you to fill out BOTH the scholarship and volunteer forms. We would love to work with you and find a way for you to make it to the event. Not low on your money but want to be extra helpful? We'd love for you to mosey on into a few volunteer shifts as well.
